Sports
Apart from academics, B.V.V. Sangha’s Basaveshwar commerce college encourages sports and related activities. The sports department of the college has a keen eye to spot and nurture potential in students and to give them the right training and exposure to develop their skills. It has always provided ample opportunities for students to participate in sports and games that are physically wholesome, mentally stimulating and socially sound. It is through games and sports that character is molded and qualities like leadership, dedication, and integrity are generated through these activities.
Facilities
The College boasts of a campus space with modern facilities that help foster sporting excellence. An indoor gym, a basketball court, and a football field help to facilitate a holistic education at B.V.V.Shanga’s Basaveshwar Commerce College.

- Granted Rs:70,00,000 lakhs grant from UGC for constructing Outdoor Stadium
- Granted Rs.5,00,000 lakhs grant from UGC for Purchasing Non-Consumable Equipment
- College sports teams participated in District, State, National Level Tournaments and won prizes
- Every year a number of players from our college participate in many games in All India Inter University tournaments, representing Rani Channamma University Belagavi.
- Multi Gymnasium we train the students specifically for their respective sports
- The gym has a separate time for Nonplayers and Hostel students
- Conducting a compulsory sports class for all the students after 4.30 pm
